Birmingham overtakes London as 'gun capital' of Britain with huge surge in gang violence

Preet Kaur Gill, Labour MP for Edgbaston, added: “It’s clear West Midlands Police need support to tackle firearm offences. Under the Tories, the force has had its resources slashed.” Across England and Wales , there were 6,365 firearms offences in the year to March, according to the ONS – up 13%.
