After constituents contacted Preet with concerns over proposals to close an overwhelming number of Royal Mail Customer Service Points (CSPs), Preet wrote to Royal Mail Group, the Postal Affairs Minister, and Ofcom.
In her letter, Preet asked that Royal Mail extend its consultation to the wider public to properly consider how its customers will be impacted through reduced opening hours and CSP closures. Making any decision without doing so would, Preet said, be irresponsible.
Preet was pleased to learn from Royal Mail's response that they would maintain the current estate of CSPs.
See Preet's letter, and the response Preet received, below.
Constituents who may have other concerns about Royal Mail are encouraged to contact Preet on preet.gill.mp@parliament.uk or to contact her via telephone on 0121 392 8426.
